Adam Blundell

Adam Blundell.

Principal Environmental Scientist / Managing Director

Adam is a founding principal of ecobiological and a qualified Environmental Scientist with over 12 years experience in environmental consulting. His research interests include the ecology of Large Forest Owls, with his Honours Project investigating 'The Powerful Owl (Ninox strenua) in disturbed environments'.  Adam is also an accredited BioBanking assessor.


Dan Pedersen

Dan is a qualified Biologist specialising in Botany and is also a highly experienced bushfire consultant

Senior Botanist / Bushfire Consultant / Director

Dan has over 6 years experience working as a Botanist and Bushfire Consultant for ecobiological . His primary areas of expertise are in the fields of native vegetation and threatened flora species identification and mapping; revegetation, rehabilitation and monitoring; and, bushfire threat assessment. Dan is certified by the FPA to provide bushfire planning and design advice.


Kristy Peters

Kristy joined the ecobiological team in 2006 as an Ecologist, with expertise in the field of fauna ecology. Her principal area of interest is Ornithology

Kristy joined the ecobiological team in 2006 as an Ecologist, with expertise in the field of fauna ecology. Her principal area of interest is Ornithology and she has recently achieved a First Class for her Honours Project under Professor Hugh Ford at the University of New England investigating 'The occurrence and detectability of rare and common woodland birds in the Hunter Region'.


Matthew Taylor

Matthew joined the ecobiological team in January 2011.His role involves the co-ordination and scheduling of projects together with an overview of key business processes

Matthew joined the ecobiological team in January 2011 and brings over 15 years experience from his previous roles in the community/environment sector. Matthew's role involves the co-ordination and scheduling of projects together with an overview of key business processes. He is currently studying for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Newcastle.


Matthew Peters

Matthew joined the ecobiological team in September 2011 as Business Systems Manager with experience in the residential building and mining logistics industries. With over 12 years supporting, managing and developing business systems and processes, Matthew’s role will be to ensure that the ecobiological team has the best technology and tools available to support our client's needs.


David Paull

 David joined our team in 2009 as a Senior Ecologist.  His primary areas of expertise are the ecology of small mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

David joined our team in September 2009 as a fauna ecologist specialising in reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. He is also an accredited BioBanking assessor. David's research Masters investigated “The biology and ecophysiology of the Pilliga Mouse (Pseudomys pilligaensis) and the Common Dunnart (Sminthopsis murina) in Pilliga East State Forest.”

Glenn Jeffs

Glenn joined our team in June 2011 as GIS Manager and has over 10 years experience in spatial sciences..

BSc (Coastal Management)

Glenn joined our team in June 2011 as GIS Manager and has over 10 years experience in spatial sciences, serving 8 years as a geomatic technician in the Australian Army Engineer Corp. Glenn has completed a degree in Environmental Science (Coastal Management) at Southern Cross University in 1995 and also Certificate IV Geomatic Engineering through the Aust. Army. He has previously held GIS managerial positions in both government and private sectors and has received awards equivalent to unit citations in the military.


Luke Foster

 Luke joined our team in 2009 as a graduate Ecologist. He is currently assisting both the Botany and Fauna Teams with fieldwork and report writing..

Ecologist

Luke joined the ecobiological team in September 2009. He is currently completing his Masters of Environmental Management at the University of New England, with a focus on the ecology of Australian vegetation (in particular, population dynamics and life strategies of Australian flora). Luke's role includes fauna trapping and field survey, nestbox installation and monitoring and report writing.


Gilbert Whyte

 Gilbert joined ecobiological in November 2010 as an ecologist with a strong research background, consolidated by environmental consulting experience

Gilbert joined ecobiological in November 2010 as an ecologist with a strong research background, consolidated by environmental consulting experience. His primary areas of expertise are in the fields of entomology and plant pathology. Gilbert has a broad ecological knowledge and experience in fauna and flora survey, impact assessment, monitoring, reporting and project management.

 Aaron joined ecobiological's botany team in September 2010. Aaron's experience includes conducting environmental site inspections and risk assessments, environmental reporting and bush fire assessments

He completed his degree in Environmental Science and Management in 2008 and is now studying for a Masters of Scientific Studies (Ecology) through the University of New England. Shea Brunt

 Shea joined the ecobiological team in May 2011 as an ecologist and bushfire threat assessor.Shea's role at ecobiological primarily includes report writing, preparation and review and bushfire threat assessments

Shea has over five years' experience in the ecological/bushfire consultancy field and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Design for Bush Fire Prone Areas from the University of Western Sydney. Shea's role at ecobiological primarily includes report writing, preparation and review and bushfire threat assessments.

Chris Indyka

Senior Bush Regenerator/Team Leader

Chris joined the ecobiological team in April 2011 as part of the Bush Regeneration / Rehabilitation service area. Chris is experienced and qualified bush regenerator with over 5 years working in the Natural Resource Management Industry. Chris brings a wealth of practical experience together with technical knowledge and appropriate qualifications from involvement in a broad range of regeneration and rehabilitation projects across NSW.

Dr John Clulow is employed by ecobiological on a contract basis to provide specialist ecological advice and report review. He has refereed numerous scientific reports, grant applications and national and international scientific journals. John is a highly experienced biologist specialising in the conservation of amphibians through captive breeding and cryopreservation of amphibian gametes and embryos and the ecology and conservation of Koalas.
