New BioBanking Service

Adam Blundell and David Paull are now accredited to undertake BioBanking Assessments under a new scheme developed by the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW).

ecobiological seized on the opportunity for staff to undertake the training due to the fact that the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has recently been modified to include provision for an environmental impact offsetting strategy known as BioBanking.


BioBanking provides an alternative and systematic approach to environmental impact offsetting in NSW. The intent of the scheme is to 'maintain or improve' biodiversity values in lieu of habitat modification or removal as a result of development.
